Adding a podcasting episode to your podcasting channel
This tutorial is assuming you have already
created your podcasting channel for your episodes, if you have
not - Click
Here
1. To create your account or request a podcasting channel go
to .
http://podcasting.gcsu.edu/
2. Select your institution (University of West Georgia).
3. Select " Podcasting Channel "
.
4. Select the podcasting channel you would like the episodes to reside under.
5. Located near the bottom of the page click , "click here to
add a new episode" .
6. Give your episode a title and description, then click continue
to step 2.
7. A box will appear a the bottom of your screen. Select "File"
from the menu bar and then select "select files".
8. Another browser window will appear, allowing you to search
your computer for the file you want to upload as an episode.
Double click on the file and your file should then start to upload.
9. Once your file has finished uploading, you will be directed
to another page. Click on "podcasting channels" located in the
left menu bar.
10. Click on the channel that your episode resides under. You
will then see a manual link and a one click link. These are the links that you will need to provide for users to subscribe and view your podcast.
- Manual link allows the user to manully subscribe to the podcast
themselves.
- One Click link will automatically open iTunes and subscribe the
user.
