1. Sun Java 1.5_05 must be installed on your computer for WebCT to work. Click here for Sun Java installation instructions.
   Depending upon your connection speed, this should only take a few minutes.
2. Open the Netscape browser.
3. At the top of the browser, click Edit .
4. Select Preferences .
5. Click the arrow (triangle) to the left of Privacy & Security.
6. Select Cookies .
7. Select Enable cookies based on privacy settings.
8. Click the View button.
9. Under Level of Privacy, select medium .
10. Click OK .
11. Under Privacy & Security, select Popup Windows .
12. If Block unrequested popup windows is selected, click Allowed Sites button .
13. In the space at the top, enter u.view.usg.edu
14. Click the Add button.
15. Click OK .
16. Click Advanced .
17. Select Enable Java .
18. Click the arrow (triangle) to the left of Advanced.
19. Select Scripts & Plugins .
20. Check Navigator .
21. Under Advanced, select Cache .
22. Select Every time I view the page .
23. Click OK .

25. After making all of the above changes, close Netscape and re-open it . The changes will now take effect.
