Course Problems
No course listed
If the course you need is not listed on your myWebCT Vista page, contact your instructor. They will need your WebCT log on username in order to add you to the course. You can NOT add a course to your MyWebCT page yourself.
Remove a course from MyWebCT page
For legal reasons, removing courses from your My WebCT page is not possible. It is now possible to hide your courses by clicking on the pencil button in the top, right-hand corner of the course listing.
Quiz, discussion and e-mail problems
If you click on "Begin Quiz," or "Compose Message" (or e-mail) and nothing happens, it is probably caused because you have a pop-up blocker enabled. Disable any pop-up blockers you have installed. These blockers can be found as part of a browser (AOL, MSN, etc.) in your anti-virus software, or in a search tool bar on your browser, they are also a part of some of the Microsoft Service Pack Updates.
Can't print files
If you are trying to print an item and you get a blank page :
- Click somewhere in the white space around what you want to print
- Click on the print button, or go to File >Print
If part, or all, of a PDF document is printing a mirror image of that document:
- Open the PDF document
- Go to File -> Print
- In the print options menu, click the box that says "Print as an Image"
- Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the page

Can't open files
- Microsoft Service Pack 2 (SP2) comes with a download blocker which will prevent you from opening or saving files in Vista. - Click here to turn off pop-up blocker for Interent Explorer
- Be patient. Some files are large and take a long time to load and then open. This is especially true if you are on a dial-up modem. If you don't think this is the case, then you might not have the correct software to open the document.
