About Us
For over 65 years,
Eclectic has been the published at the University of
West Georgia. Originally the magazine featured authors
and artists from the university as well as submissions
from the literary world at large. Currently, Eclectic
features writing, artwork, and more recently music
created uniquely by our University students.
The 2005 issue
(available for download on the "Archives" page) received
the AWP National Award and the Southern Literary
Festival Award.
Eclectic is
published annually and awards one poetry prize, two
fiction prizes and three art prizes with generous funding from
the University's Student Activities Office. In addition,
Eclectic sponsors public readings throughout the
academic year (see the "Events" page for more
information).
