Students receiving loans through the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program for the first time at UWG are required to complete the Direct Loan Entrance Counseling Session to receive information on the rights and responsibilities of your Direct Loan before the first payment of your loan may be disbursed to your student account. To complete the Entrance Counseling Session:
NOTE: If you have previously completed a Direct Loan Entrance Counseling Session at UWG, you do not need to complete another one. If in question, contact the Financial Aid Department by phone at 678-839-6421 or email at finaid@westga.edu to verify that we have your record as previously completed. EXIT COUNSELING SESSION Students who have previously received William D. Ford Direct Loans who drop below half time, graduate, or stop attending UWG, will be prompted to complete the Direct Loan Exit Counseling Session through their secure Banweb account. To complete the Exit Counseling Session:
If you are unable to login through your UWG BanWeb account to complete the Entrance or Exit Counseling Session, go to www.dl.ed.gov. From the HOME page of this site, in the main body at the top click on the link for Entrance & Exit Counseling. You will need your Federal PIN (FAFSA PIN) number to complete the sessions from this site.
