Donald R. Wagner is Professor of Political Science, Director of
Special Programs and Dean of the Honors College. He is the author of
many works and editor of Academic Freedom: An Everyday Concern. His
teaching responsibilities have included courses in Public
Administration, Political Philosophy, Constitutional Law, American
Government, Political Science Methods, and Film Studies. His service
to the University System includes co-chairing the University System
task force on semester conversion, chairing the 1993-1994 Presidential
Search Committee at West Georgia, and, currently, chairing the
University System Advisory Committee to the Chancellor and the Board
of Regents on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). In addition, he
has served as Vice President and President of the Georgia Collegiate
Honors Council; and he has held many offices in the American
Association of University Professors at both the state and national
