Summer Studies Program

 
           

The 2009 Marketing department's summer study abroad program is scheduled to begin on June 8th and run for four weeks through July 4th. Students will spend the first two weeks on-campus (June 8th - 18th) and the next two weeks in London (June 19th - July 4th).


All students will be registered to take a Special Topics - Business in the UK course - MKTG 4885 (3 credit hours) in summer session III - plus the International Marketing (MKTG 4866) course if they have not previously completed this.

During their two week stay in London students will visit a variety of international business firms and will have numerous opportunities for direct interaction with top executives and business professionals.

Students will have also two long "open" weekends to enjoy the wide variety of London't many cultural experiences, ot to make trips to other areas of Europe (e.g., Paris, Rome, Dublin, Edinburgh).

The program fee is $4,200, which covers......................

    • Roundtrip airfare to London
    • 2 weeks in London with single room accommodations in residence halls and two meals per day
    • Executive speakers and visits to businesses
    • London Sightseeing trips.
    • All program related ground transportation

Note: In 2008, some student received an average of $500 from various program-related financial aid.

Note: Tuition fees are not included in the program fees

                 Optional Sightseeing trips include:

      • Day trip to Paris.
      • Day trip to Brussels.
      • Day trip to Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath.

The application deadline is December 7, 2008. Capacity is limited, so plan ahead and apply early.
