Administrative Accomplishments

 

2004-2005

Authored the proposal and received approval to institute three tracks within the Program (Philosophy, Pre-Law, and Religion)

Raised the number of majors from twenty-two to fifty-one

Led the Search Committees for a new tenure-track position. This search lead to the hiring of a full-time instructor for one year.

Led faculty meetings (prepared agenda, led discussions, formalized decisions)

Wrote faculty evaluations including recommendations for merit raises

Oversaw the move of the Philosophy Program into the TLC Building along with its closer integration into the English/Philosophy Department

 

2005-2006

Led the Search Committee for a new tenure-track position. This lead to the hiring of a new tenure-track assistant professor

Hired a replacement instructor due to the sudden illness of a faculty member

Standardized the pre-requisites for Philosophy courses

Authored budget proposals

Wrote faculty evaluations including recommendations for merit raises

Revised the pamphlet for the Philosophy Program
