Mission Statement:
A wide and growing range of career opportunities awaits graduates of California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) programs.  Our graduates enter positions in private practice, healthcare and corporate settings.  While many alumni maintain independent practices, thereby improving the quality of life for individuals, families, and organizations, others design and implement programs for mental health centers and hospitals, reorganize and reshape  businesses, administer social service departments, and directly influence public policy legislation.  Some graduates hold multiple jobs within the managed care framework and take an entrepreneurial approach to maintaining a desired level of income.  All of our clinical programs integrate research, theory and practice; provide strong, broad-based education and training in clinical psychology; and prepare multiculturally competent professionals.  In addition, all programs offer students the opportunity to select special areas of emphasis such as integrative psychology, health psychology, clinical forensics, and child/family psychology to name a few.  In addition to exciting emphasis areas, specialty tracks are available at the San Diego and San Francisco Bay Area campuses.  Tracks involve a greater commitment and more focused training than do emphasis areas.  For example, CSPP has been recognized nationally and internationally for its superior commitment to training in multicultural competence.
