Mission Statement:
The MA programs in Psychology reflect Antioch's commitments to teaching and training in psychology, to caring, and to social justice.  We offer a Clinical Psychology degree, an individualized degree in an area of choice, and a Dual Concentration option through which clinical students can specialize in Child Studies, Applied Community Psychology, or another area of individual interest.  The Antioch MA in Psychology fulfills academic requirements for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in California. While at Antioch, student s begin earning some of the 3,000 hours of clinical experience required in order to sit for the licensing exam.  The MAP program emphasizes the link between theory and practice through personal, clinical, and societal applications of learning; the highest personal and professional ethical standards; experiential learning, collaborative learning, and educational innovation; support for creativity, personal meaning, and pleasure in learning; and academic excellence.
