Mission Statement:
The overall goal of the MLS program is to provide mature adults with the opportunity to gain the tools of thought and perspective that are part of the liberal studies tradition.  It is designed for those who want a  familiarity with the interaction between the humanistic tradition, the romantic tradition (depth psychology), the natural science tradition, the post-modern tradition (family therapy).  Faculty and affiliates holding earned doctorates or the appropriate licensure requirements in their specific fields.  These faculty bring to the program  diverse and alternative approaches to research, counseling and community involvement as well as a commitment to working with mature learners.
