Mission Statement:
Our program is founded on the universe story
and the principles of a living cosmology: Earth (Everything
is related to everything else – communion, compassion); Art (Nothing
that is created is repetitive or the same as something else – differentiation;
creativity); Spirit (Each expression of creation has a personality
that is uniquely its own – interiority, transformation). At Sophia
Center we revision the basic story of our lives and participate in the
Great Work of personal, cultural, and ecological transformation.
Our curriculum is created around the Fourfold Wisdom of the New Science,
Indigenous Peoples, Women and Classical Traditions of the World.
The programs of the Sophia Center in Culture and Spirituality foster an
understanding of both time-honored wisdom and of the contemporary forces
that are reshaping human experience. The programs of the Sophia Center
in Culture and Spirituality foster an understanding of both the time-honored
wisdom and the Sophia Center is designed to create an inclusive and integral
human presence that is open to the divine and designed to nurture a sustainable
community of life for every species.
