II Departmental Statement of Goals, Process to Assess These Goals, Assessment Results

The Registrar's Office primary goal is to meet all operational deadlines thus permitting students, faculty and staff to efficiently advance from the beginning to the close of a semester. In doing so, we must provide leadership in the development of automated and computerized processing. Assessment of this primary goal is done by a survey of students, faculty and staff, and monitoring the office operational calendar. All operational deadlines for FY 2008 were met.

Closely related to our primary goal is the goal of insuring that all student record data and course data is accurate and complete, and can be relied upon in reviewing and studying university wide goals such as increasing retention and meeting course seat demands. Also other administrative offices, students and faculty assume that data maintained and updated by this office can be relied upon as accurate for their needs. This goal is assessed through verifying SIRS, CIR and Academic DataMart submissions to the Board of Regents, and constant diligence by all Registrar Office staff when reviewing and updating student records.
