Education

 

·       Presently completing my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the State University of West Georgia. I expect to graduate in August 2003.

 

·       Graduated with a Grade Point Average of 3.79 from the State University of West Georgia USA, majoring in Marketing and Business Information Systems.(May 2002)

 

·       In 1998 attended the Institute of Technological Studies in Colombo, Sri-Lanka and completed 92 credits in Business Administration. The Grade Point Average (GPA) achieved out of a scale of 4 was 3.79.

 

·       Followed a Course in Marketing conducted by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK) and passed Stage One with 3A¹s and 1 C.

 

·       4 Ordinary passes in the Biology stream at the General Certificate of Education Advance Level Examination at Trinity College. (1997)

 

·       4 Distinctions and 4 Credits at the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examination at Trinity College, Kandy.

Work Experience

 

·       Presently Working for the State University of West Georgia as a Resident Director for Pritchard Hall.

·       From May 2001 onwards, I was the Resident Advisor to a special program titled the ŒAdvanced Academy of Georgia¹. My assignment was to assure the well being of outstanding high school students who are given the opportunity to study at the University.

·       Worked at the Honors College as a Student Assistant.

·       During the summer of 2002, I was a marketing intern at Apollo Hospitals Sri-Lanka, which was run by a multi-national corporation. I was heavily involved in the opening of the hospital and gained a lot of experience trouble shooting during the initial stages of the hospital.

·       From January 2001 to May 2001 the Residence Life Department of the State University of West Georgia employed me in the position of ŒResident Advisor.¹ (RA)

* I was the RA in-charge and coordinating the activities of the ³Academic Community for Excellence² program.

* I provide the residents an environment, conducive to the advancement in their academic and social needs.
