Our Vision
2007-2010
- Improve student engagement
- Improve customer/client services and satisfaction
- Improve student success
- Decrease the negative outcomes of alcohol use by students
- Increase enrollment
Each department has established goals in support of this vision. To view departmental goals, see our SSDH Goals 07-08 document.
Administrative Changes in the Division
The Division is making administrative changes for 2008-2009 to improve services to students and reflect our growth as an institution:
Responsibility for managing the campus's judicial system will be moved from the Department of Residence Life to a newly created Assistant Dean of Students position in the Vice President's office. Residence Life staff will continue to handle community standards violations in the residence halls, but the Assistant Dean will handle violations of the Student Conduct Code . The Assistant Dean will also chair the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevent Team (ADAPT), which is currently chaired by the Vice President, will serve as a key member of the Critical Incident Team, and will provide other services related to managing student behavior and improving the campus climate. This change will also allow the Director of Residence Life to assume greater responsibilities in managing budgets and facilities as we work to improve the living experience of our students.
Effective July 1, 2008, the name of the Division will be changed to the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management to more accurately reflect our mission and responsibilities.
