Logo chosen to represent UWG's CentennialJune 12. 2006 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia Centennial Steering Committee has selected a logo to provide visual identity for centennial events during the 2006-2007 academic year, according to steering committee co-chairs, Drs. Anne and Fred Richards.
Clay says the inspiration came from a culmination of months
of committee work and ideas and input from art faculty, the Publications
and Printing design team and the campus community at-large. Additionally, Clay says the red and blue celebrate UWG’s school colors while the chartreuse (bright green) represents a new generational color while acknowledging UWG’s beginning as an agricultural and mechanical school. The year-long centennial celebration kicks off Friday, Aug. 18, with an evening black-tie gala in the new Campus Center.
