Out of State Students
Tuition Incentives for entering Freshmen and Transfers
The University of West Georgia values the diversity that out-of-state students bring to campus. In order to encourage these students to attend, a limited number of out-of-state tuition waivers are available to incoming freshman and new transfer students. These waivers offer the in-state rate to our out-of-state students as an incentive to attend. Eligible incoming freshmen and transfer students must be accepted to the University to be considered. Decisions will be made with a holistic perspective based on submitted materials and academic credentials.
Minimum Criteria for Consideration:
- Minimum High School GPA (in college preparatory courses) or College GPA of 3.0
- Academic Resume – listing activities, student leadership, honors/awards, community service, etc. Use format found at www.westga.edu/resume
- Written Statement (of no more than one page) – detailing why you wish to both attend West Georgia and receive this out-of-state tuition waiver
For more information regarding the out-of-state waivers, please contact Mrs. Ginny Krikland at gkirklan@westga.edu
