Acceptance Checklist
If you've been accepted to the University of West Georgia, congratulations! We’re glad you’ve decided to Go West.
Visiting our Accepted Student Portal will help guide you through the next, exciting step in your college journey: Enrollment. After you have been accepted, visit: www.westga.edu/prep to recieve your portal login information. From their, you will be redirected to the Portal to begin the enrollment process.
Apply for Financial Aid
For federal financial aid, complete the FAFSA form. This can be done via the web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. You will need UWG’s school code which is 001601. Freshman students wishing to receive the HOPE scholarship must complete the Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPPS), which can be found at the Georgia College 411 website. Separate steps for non-traditional and transfer students may be required and are outlined at http://www.westga.edu/finaid/ under “Prospective Students”. Submit Immunization Form
A UWG Immunization Form must be completed by a physician or health official and returned prior to enrollment. Please be aware that some immunizations are offered in sequence, with a required wait period between shots, therefore you need to start this process early to ensure completion prior to enrollment.

A UWG Health Form must be completed and returned prior to enrollment.

Apply for Student Housing
All freshmen (and transfer students with less than 30 transfer credits) are required to live on campus, so be sure to complete your housing application by clicking on the Housing and Residence Life tab in our Accepted Student Portal. If you live with a parent within the approved commuting distance, are 21 years of age, are married, taking on-line courses only, or transferring with more than 30 semester hours, you are exempt but must complete a waiver. Register for Orientation
All new students are required to attend an orientation session. Students can view the current orientation dates and register online through our Accepted Student Portal . Once you have registered and paid online you will be sent a confirmation letter in the mail. For more information, please visit the orientation web site or call 678-839-4739.
Send in Your Transcripts
You must send your final high school/college transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions after you complete your coursework.
