What Will I Do at Preview Day?

Preview Days are your chance to see the UWG campus on your own terms. Meet professors, learn about campus life, and see our residence halls. The choice is yours! We offer both general Preview Days and college specific Preview Days. You can attend as many Preview Days as you would like to see if UWG is the right fit for you. We are looking forward to your Visit West and showing you all that UWG has to offer. For more specific information please contact Allyson Bretch at abretch@westga.edu.

UWG Preview Day events include:

  • Meet UWG students, faculty, and staff
  • Explore the campus on a student led tour (walking or bus)
  • Visit UWG’s Residence Halls
  • Learn more about UWG’s excellent academic programs and student organizations

For the Hispanic/Latino community, the university of West Georgia offers a Hispanic Preview Day Schedule. As a student who participates in the Hispanic Preview Day Schedule you will get to see what UWG has to offer just like any other student, but you will have the opportunity to interact with others that share your values, language, and culture while on campus. The Hispanic Preview Day Schedule allows you and your parents to learn about UWG in a bilingual setting at events like a(n):

  • Information Session
  • Guided Campus Tour
  • Panel Discussion and Student Showcase
  • Parent Discussion (In Spanish)

Event Registration

For the prospective transfer students, we have a Preview Day Track designed just for you. This track will address your unique interests, questions, and concerns as you embark on a new journey at the University of West Georgia. As a participant of the Transfer Track, you will get to meet other students transitioning to a new college just like you that share your same goals and opportunities, as well as fears. Please contact Katie Taylor, Assistant Director – Transfer, for more information at ktaylor@westga.edu.

The Transfer Track Schedule includes:

  • Transfer Admission Requirements Session
  • Presentations from Financial Aid, Transfer Credit Evaluation Team, Center for Academic Success, and Counseling
  • Transfer Student Panel Discussion
  • Guided Upper-Classmen Residence Hall Tour
