Geology is the study of the earth. Geologists study the origin and evolution of the earth and the physical, chemical, and biological processes which have produced minerals, rocks, and fossils within and on the surface of the earth.
Possible Careers
Ecologist, Environmental Analyst, Environmentalist, Geo-chemist, Geologist, Geophysicist, Mineralogist and Seismologist, are a few of the more obvious career choices. But many geology majors also find careers in the fields of Conservation, Education, Engineering, Hydrology, Meteorology, Oceanography, Paleontology, Petrology & Research to name a few.
Degree Options
Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Geology with concentration in General Geology, Earth Science (with Secondary Education Certification), and Geologic Engineering
