UWG Department of Psychology

Beginning Fall 2011: students who want to declare Psychology as a major must:

Psychology, at UWG, maintains a unique emphasis in humanistic and transpersonal psychology. The whole person is the concern. First and foremost, the department promotes understanding of oneself and others. It sees this understanding as the basis for personal growth and development, insight into psychology itself, and preparation for professional life.

Posible Careers
Counselor, Psychologist, Psychiatrist & Therapist are a few of the more obvious career choices. But many psychology majors also find careers in the fields of Advertising and Marketing, Business and Industry, Criminology, Education, Foreign Service, Human Resources, Law, Public Relations and Research to name a few.

Degree Options
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
