Thanks to the dedication of the community and generous sponsors such as AirTran and First National Bank of Georgia,  the university celebrates "A DAY for West Georgia" each year.

A DAY begins each August and culminates on the third Thursday of October when volunteers canvas the community to solicit local businesses. As one of the components of the UWG Annual Fund, the A DAY campaign supports scholarships and a wide variety of other programs and services that are a direct benefit to students.  The campaign consists of a series of fundraising events including:

  • Run for A DAY
  • Community Drives
  • Faculty/Staff Drive
  • Alumni Drive

A DAY is a local campaign consisting of Carroll County and the surrounding communities. Areas outside of Carroll and its contiguous counties are solicited through the Alumni Phonathon.  Pictures from last year's events can be found at the A DAY Photo Gallery.
