Annual Reunion
The annual Retired Faculty/Staff Reunion is the premiere event hosted by ARFS and funded by West Georgia’s Development and Alumni Relations. The first recognition reception was held in 2005. The reunion is designed to give honor, respect and recognition to retirees’ long years of dedicated service to West Georgia and help them to celebrate a new life as a retiree.
At the Retired Faculty/Staff Reunion, each retiree is given a Tribute book and a commemorative medallion. The medallion, which is bronze with the university logo on the obverse and the engraving on the reverse, hangs from a ribbon. The engraving shows your name, department and years of service.
Upcoming Annual Faculty/Staff Reunion
You and your guest are cordially invited to a reunion honoring faculty and staff who retired from the University of West Georgia between August 2, 2007, and August 1, 2008. The annual event will take place Saturday, July 12, 2008, at seven o’clock in the evening in the lower level and patio area of Z-6 (Food Services Building) on the UWG campus. Casual attire. Please RSVP by July 7 to Dale Duffey, 678-839-6582 so we can plan for refreshments. Wine, beer, and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served. Retirees who have already received medallions are welcome to wear them to the event.
