Annual Reunion
The annual retirement reunion will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at noon at the Sunset Hills Country Club. You will be receiving an invitation to this event in early summer. Remember that our annual shindig is really a reunion to get all of our retired faculty and staff back together again once a year. The additional bonus is to recognize the new crop of retirees for each year and to congratulate all of them. Dress is casual, and there will be plenty of complimentary food and drink (alcoholic and non). Piano entertainment will again be provided by the talented Bernie Wong.
The annual Retired Faculty/Staff Reunion is the premiere event hosted by ARFS and funded by West Georgia’s Development and Alumni Relations. The first recognition reception was held in 2005. The reunion is designed to give honor, respect and recognition to retirees’ long years of dedicated service to West Georgia and help them to celebrate a new life as a retiree.
At the Retired Faculty/Staff Reunion, each retiree is given a Tribute book and a commemorative medallion. The medallion, which is bronze with the university logo on the obverse and the engraving on the reverse, hangs from a ribbon. The engraving shows your name, department and years of service.
