Homecoming 2005: “Celebrate West Georgia Mardi Gras Style”: All retired faculty & staff and spouses are invited to attend the special President’s Breakfast on the morning of Homecoming Saturday, October 8th, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Alumni House. Come join us, President Sethna, members of the volunteer boards, award recipients and many of our alumni at this continental breakfast that will precede the 10:00 a.m. viewing of the Homecoming Parade from the nearby spectator stands.
ARFS Listserv now available: We have the new ARFS listserv up and running now and would like all of you with e-mail accounts to consider signing up for membership on this listserv. We can contact you more easily and more quickly, and you will be able to post your ideas and responses to messages for all of us to read as well. It is just like the All-Faculty and All-Staff listservs with which you may be familiar.
To sign up, just follow the procedure listed below:
*Go to the following website called “Join or leave a List”
http://www.westga.edu/warchives/subunsub2.html
*Complete only the first 3 fields (boxes)
In the first box labeled “List to Join or Leave,” type in UWG-ARFS
In the second box, type in your complete e-mail address.
In the third box, type in your first and last names.
*Leave the defaults on the rest of the page as is unless you want to change it. *Click on “Join the list.” You’ll get a message stating “A confirmation request is being sent under separate cover.”
Then wait for your e-mail confirmation and follow the instructions provided.

Friday Socials: There are still a few more Friday Socials this fall. Mark your calendars now and join us at the University Club socials at the Alumni House (formerly the President’s home). Events are open to all UWG current and retired faculty and staff. Snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks are served. Park at the Alumni House or next door at the large Tyus parking lot.
