The Murphy Center strives to help meet the needs of the people of Georgia by sponsoring various programs that:

- Provide Learning Opportunities for Students

- Create Resources for Community Betterment

The Murphy Center for Public Service works closely with the University of West Georgia Department of Political Science & Planning to sponsor events and programs to will benefit students and the community. It also provides a range of support services that can be used by local and regional governments, non-profit and community groups to better serve the public.
