The Department of Biology at the University of West Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with a starting date of Aug, 2009. A doctoral degree and record of research productivity are required. Post-doctoral training and teaching experience are preferred. Promise of teaching excellence in introductory biology courses, upper division undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Physiology, Histology and in areas of the candidate’s expertise is expected. Establishing a strong research program in the candidate’s field of expertise involving undergraduate and graduate student is essential, and securing external funding for their research program is highly encouraged.
