Fitness Center Guidelines

 

Welcome to the Fitness Center! The following rules and guidelines are set into place to ensure you have a great workout environment!

A workout Towel is required when exercising in the fitness room and women’s exercise area. Free towels are available at the fitness desk. Please return towel to fitness desk when done, to avoid a $5 charge or temporary suspension of membership.

Please clean equipment after use

• Place gym bags and backpacks in the cubby holes provided by the Center

• Please wear appropriate attire while working out, and avoid wearing apparel that might damage the equipment (items that have rivets and zippers) Close-toe shoes are required in the fitness room

• Food and colored drinks are not permitted in the fitness room,and please make sure drinking bottles have closeable lids

• Work out at your own fitness level

• Fitness supervisors are available for fitness orientations on all equipment (it’s free!)

• Please use a spotter when lifting a weight your are unsure of

• During peak workout hours please limit your cardio workout to 30-minutes

• Please share strength equipment when doing multiple sets

• Avoid “banging” your weights or dropping your dumbbells

• Please use equipment with the purpose it was intended for

• Collars are suggested when using plates

• Olympic and power weightlifting is prohibited

• Re-rack weights and return all accessories to their proper locations

• ALWAYS respect your fellow members at all times!

By following these basic guidelines, your experience in the fitness room will be better enjoyed by you and the other members. Remember, it’s a privilege to workout at the Campus Center. Neglecting the policies of the Campus Center could result in termination of your membership.
