Learning Communities

Learning Communities help students adjust academically and socially to college life by grouping approximately 25 students with similar interests into a set of shared courses.  Learning Community students repeatedly earn higher grades and are often more likely to stay in school than non-Learning Community students with similar interests. The merging of academic life and social structure allows students to make friends quickly, establish study groups, and help each other through the first year of college. In addition, LC students receive individualized mentoring, develop a relationship with faculty members, and receive early advising and registration during the fall semester.
