We are star dust! (Grades 6-8)

All the atoms that make up our blood, bones, and DNA and all that is in the earth were synthesized in stars.  We are truly star dust.  Our water is thought to mostly come from comets.  Many of the molecules on this earth were generated in the deep recesses of outer space.  In this session we will explore extra-terrestrial chemistry.

Where was Archimedes to stand? (Grades 6-8)

Archimedes once said "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum and I will move the Earth."  And where was he to stand?  To work and live in space, visionaries have centralized our exra-terrestrial activities on the surfaces of rocky planets and moons.  To make effective use of these far off lands will require a deep understanding of their geology, which we will explore in this session.
