Student and non-employee travel per diem, prizes and awards

The Board of Regent’s has published revisions to the Business Procedures Manual which impact UWG students and other non-employees with regard to travel per diem, prizes and awards. The changes are effective January 1, 2013. The changes include:

• Travel expenses incurred by students and non-employees will follow the same per diem rules (including the 75% first/last day per diem) as employees regardless of fund source.
• Dollar limit for prizes is limited to $100 in value; therefore, no Vice President approval is required.
• Dollar limit for awards is limited to $500 in value.

These changes are made to bring us into compliance with Business Procedures Manual 19.9 Non employee travel and 24 Student Fees.
