February 7, 2012 - Sign Up to Get CPR/AED Certified
CPR/AED Certification: In recognition of National Heart Month, Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification classes are being offered to all university faculty and staff. The course will help potential rescuers gain confidence in first recognizing and then administering a life-saving response in the event of a respiratory or cardiac emergency. Successful participants will be Red Cross AED and CPR certified. Each of the four classes will hold up to 10 participants. No payment or fees are required.
January 10, 2012 - Daily Report Submission - Smoking Policy Reminder
Please help in educating new campus members and reminding returning faculty, staff and students of the UWG Smoking Policy, which is located on the UWG Policy Website. Community enforcement is the key to this policy. If you notice someone not complying with the policy, politely approach the individual, explain that UWG does have a smoking policy. In your own words and friendly manner, ask that they move at least 25 feet away from any building entrance, outdoor passageway to an entrance or any air intake where smoke would affect occupants and those entering or leaving the area. Together we can make changes to our culture.
