Carroll County's Textile and Apparel Industries
This website, developed in conjunction with "Spinning Yarns, Knitting Socks, and Sewing Suits" provides teachers and students creative ways to learn about the apparel industry in Carroll County.
"Changing Times: Studying Commities in Carroll County"
This teachers' resource packet was produced in 2000 as an interdisciplinary approach to teaching the history of Carroll County. It is geared toward 8th graders and is available from the Center for Public History for the cost of postage.
This exhibit focuses on baking traditions in West Georgia and is available online and on loan from the Center for Public History.
Veteran's History Traveling Trunks
The Center for Public History offers two traveling teaching trunks for loan to educators. These trunks contain documents, photographs, maps, artifacts, and other items from World War II and the Cold War era as well as suggested classrooom activities and lesson plans for 5th grade through middle school.
