Sigma Kappa’s strive to uphold the values of personal growth, friendship, loyalty, and service. Each semester, we support Sigma Kappa's philanthropic causes by visiting local nursing homes, sending canned goods and gift cards to Maine, and participate in road clean-ups to benefit the Carrollton area. Sigma Kappa sisters work on their leadership development through involvement in a variety of campus organizations, including Panhellenic recruitment counselors, Student Government, SAC, Mock Trial, Pre-Law Society, Campus Outreach, and Residence Assistants. Our sisters are also in the Honor's College and on the Dean's List and take pride in maintaining high academic standards.
Even with a calendar full of classes and service projects, Sigma Kappa’s find time to enjoy ourselves at our sisterhood dinners and retreats, fraternity mixers, ice cream parties with other Panhellenic sororities, and our Violet Ball formal!
The purpose of Sigma Kappa is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities. At the University of West Georgia and beyond, Sigma Kappa’s always live "One Heart, One Way." With 110 collegiate Sigma Kappa chapters and over 120 alumnae chapters across the United States, you can find a Sigma Kappa sister anywhere you go!
