Alpha Xi Delta is one of the oldest women’s fraternities in the United States. With more than 150,000 initiated members, Alpha Xi Delta is a progressive organization with college chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States.
During your time at the University of West Georgia, Alpha Xi Delta will be your home away from home and provide you with the inspiration you need to excel. Our founders left us a great legacy- sisterhood, leadership, knowledge and service to our communities. Our sisterhood will help you explore your strengths and expand your horizons while enabling you to serve your community, learn life lessons not taught in the classroom, enjoy social events and build genuine, life-long friendships.
Alpha Xi Delta’s are very involved on campus and have sisters in the Student Government Association, Greek Council, Summer Orientation Leaders, Campus Ambassadors, Campus Outreach, College Republicans, Student Judicial Board, Leadership to Go, and multiple honor societies and academic fraternities. The 2008 and 2009 Panhellenic Presidents were both Alpha Xi Deltas. We are very proud that the Greek Woman of the Year Award has gone to one of our sisters in 2007, 2008, and 2009! We are honored that some of our sisters are on fraternity sweetheart courts. Alpha Xi Deltas are also active in the intramural community and participate in flag football, basketball, soccer, and softball.
Every year we have a full social calendar by having socials with fraternities, date nights, hosting two crush parties, a fall semi-formal and our Pink Rose Formal in the spring. Homecoming and Greek week are very important to us as well! Alpha Xi Delta is the reigning Greek Week Champion for the past three years. Also, an Alpha Xi Delta has been crowned Greek Goddess since 2005!
In 2009, Alpha Xi Delta partnered with Autism Speaks as our national philanthropy. Our chapter hosts Fuzzie Football and other small events to raise money and awareness for Autism Speaks. We also participate in Walk Now for Autism which is held in Atlanta. Along with our national philanthropy, Alpha Xi Deltas participate in other campus and community events- Relay for Life, UWG A-Day, as well as volunteer at local schools. Also, since 2003, Alpha Xi Delta has hosted Shoot for a Cure to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
Realize Your Potential. Alpha Xi Delta members across the country are called to action by our vision, and you can be too. Your Alpha Xi Delta sisters will welcome you, support you and encourage you to be your best in every way!
