The Big Event

 The BIG Event: One Big Day. One Big Thanks. One Big Event.

This Spring, UWG will be hosting its third annual BIG Event. 

The Big Event is one of the largest, one-day, student-run service projects in the nation where college students come together to say, "thank you," to the residents of their community. Students, faculty, and staff participating in this annual event will show their appreciation to the surrounding community by completing service projects such as yard work, window washing, and painting. Student groups and athletic teams may also work with a number of our local non-profit organizations in Carrollton. Below is the schedule of events. Spring 2016 Schedule - April 2

8:30AM-9:00AM - Registration/check-in at Love Valley 

(Free T-Shirts to the first 200 volunteers)

9:00AM-9:30AM - Opening Ceremonies

9:30AM - Depart for service sites

12:00PM - All projects end

We will find the service projects for you! All you need to do is sign-up and show up at the event ready to volunteer! If you sign-up as a group you will be contacted March 28th with your service project information. If you are volunteering as an individual you will be assigned a project at Check-in. Transportation for projects vary. Some projects will be on campus, some within walking distance from campus, some will have transportation provided, and others require carpooling.
