Earlier this month SGA had a wonderful opportunity to assist in a community River Clean-Up. Dustin Kilpack, Coordinator for Student Volunteer Programs, partnered with the Geo-Sciences department and organized the event. Students here at the university were invited to help clean the Chattahoochee River and were able to ride a bus to the park location. Eriona Brown, a current senator of SGA, attended the River Clean-Up and said it was a great way to service the community and hopes that students would have the opportunity to do it again! Dustin Kilpack was very pleased with the turnout; they expected about 40 people and had about 73 people attend. Dustin plans to have monthly “Give Back” days where students are able to go out and service the community! If you are interested in participating in next months “Give Back “ day ask one of your SGA senators for more information!
