Anthropological Society-(hjolly2@my.westga.edu) Welcome, Anthropology majors, minors, and anyone interested in Anthropology. This club encourages the interests and involvement of faculty and students through bi-weekly meetings where we invite speakers and watch theme based films. We also sponsor fundraisers and charity events.
Art Student Union-(westga.asu@gmail.com) Is established to provide a unity within the different departments and concentrations at the University of West Georgia. We want to empower art students and give them a voice within the art dept. We wish to improve leadership skills while encouraging team work. We are involved on campus in supporting other student organizations.

The group has four components: television, radio, journalism, and public relations. MCS looks to enhance professional development for students interested in mass communications. MCS shall offers valuable experiences to students in preparation for graduation by providing opportunities to connect various aspect of Mass Communications.

Peer Financial Team-(pft@westga.edu) Was developed by Financial Aid student to assistants as a program to help equip peers with a basic understanding of personal financial management. UWG’s concept of PFT derived from the Department of Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia, Peer Team Members are trained by the staff of Financial Aid, using practical financial situations. PFT conduct presentations for UWG academic courses, club & organizations, Preview Day, New Student Orientations, UWG 1101 courses and many more. One-on-One help is available throughout the year.
Philosophical Society-(cwilli46@my.westga.edu) Is a place for students to get together and discuss a variety of philosophical topics. From ethics, to knowledge, to the existence of God, no topic is off limit.
Physics and Engineering Club-(pmartin6@my.westga.edu) Is an establishment which allows Physics and Engineering students to converse and take part in social events. This promotes discussion of individual interests and expansion of social networking within the Physics Department. Students will have the opportunity to visit professional institutions and gain insight in the operations of current research and development.

University Ambassadors-(rwoods3@my.westga.edu) Is a Student Organization that assists the office of admissions with recruitment. This volunteer organization is responsible for providing tours of the campus to prospective students, hosting preview day, attending high schools, college fairs. In addition the University Ambassadors perform Community Service events throughout the year, including Safe Treat, Canned Food Drives, etc.

Gamma Theta Upsilon-(uwg.gtu@gmail.com) Is an international honor society in Geography. It was founded in 1928 and became a national organization in 1931. Members of GTU have met academic requirements and share an interest in geography. GTU activities support geography knowledge and awareness. In the past, GTU has hosted Earth Day activities and participated in environment awareness projects on campus.
Kappa Delta Pi-(scrawfo4@my.westga.edu) Is an honorary society for students who have decided to pursue a degree in education. 3.0 GPA is required.
National Society of Collegiate Scholars-(aksogbo@gmail.com) Recognizes outstanding first and second year college students with a 3.4 or higher GPA and in the top twenty percent of their class. It offers a wide variety of opportunities for involvement on the campus community, and national level. The benefits of life-time membership include recognition, access to exclusive NSCS programs, networking, and career resources opportunities to apply for scholarships, leadership development, social, and service activities on campus and Alumni programs.

Omicron Delta Kappa-(nauen@westga.edu) Is the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni that recognizes and encourages superior scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Membership is ODK is a mark of the highest distinction and honor.
Order of Omega-(aly.chester@gmail.com) Is a national leadership honor society for members of Greek-letter social organizations. To be eligible for membership, a student must be a junior or senior, rank academically above the all-Greek system average, be in good standing with their fraternal organization, and must have completed one full academic year of residence at West Georgia.
Phi Alpha Theta-(mwalker9@my.westga.edu) We are a local chapter of national history honor society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students, teachers, and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promotes and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways.

Students in Free Enterprise-(uwgsife@gmail.com) The purpose of SIFE is to bring together top leaders of today and tomorrow to create a better, more sustainable world through the positive power of business. Students are exposed to a variety of community based projects that use applicable business principles as the foundation. During each school year, the UWG SIFE team creates and executes various projects and share their project results and experiences at the annual Regional Competition with a possibility of advancing to the annual National Competition. Students enjoy networking and finding job opportunities with top Fortune 500 companies that partner with the national SIFE organization.

While the West Georgian is a part of the mass communications departments, students affiliated with all majors are welcome to join.

It is also a networking tool that allows students to interact with professionals in an academic environment, while simultaneously honing their soft skills (i.e. nonverbal communication, etiquette, professionalism.)

We welcome all ability levels as well as all disciplines of cycling including road, mountain, track, as well as duathlou and triathlon. We also want to promote and encourage commuting by bicycle as a healthy and environmentally friendly alternative to automobile transportation.

Bethel Campus Fellowship-(westgabcf@gmail.com) Which was inaugurated on Sept. 3, 2005 has grown tremendously and is now very well established in many Colleges in the States of Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, and Canada. Because of the grace that God has given to us in touching lives, BCF is determined to plant fellowship centers in all the college in United States and Canada by the year 2050. BCF places emphasis on the word of God and living by its precepts. Our motto is get it, Live it and give it. We challenge members to live like Christ and to love like Jesus did. Love for one another among members is both an integral part, and a distinguishing feature of BCF. Our hope and prayer is that God will use this organization to reach out to students on campuses across the nations.

Preventing Assault Providing Awareness Within Students-(ahardy6@my.westga.edu) Is a volunteer organization. Members of “1 in 4” are a part of PAW2S. They teach classes around the campus focusing on Sexual Assault. The 1 in 4 group is composed of men and women that attend the University of West Georgia. Too often, rape education is directed toward women. This not only leaves men uneducated, it implies that women are responsible for stopping sexual misconduct. It is our philosophy that sexual violence is not merely a woman’s problem; rather it is a societal issue. We seek to empower men and women to take a stand against sexual aggression.
Relay for Life Club-(cstone2@my.westgal.edu) Is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to eliminating cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society in college communities. The mission of the Relay For Life Club is to raise money for cancer research and cancer patients, spread cancer awareness, celebrate the lives of survivors, remember those who lost their lives to cancer, and unite a community in the fight against cancer.

Anime is Japanese animated cartoons. We focus on understanding the community that has surrounded Anime, to know more about the nations/communities that they are derivative of. In doing all these things, our goal is to create a place where a person can have an educational and fun way of celebrating their interests with others.

Lambda-(lambda@gmail.com) UWG’s gay-straight alliance, which supports GLBTQ people and allies. Lambda serves as an activist and social organization with weekly meetings and a variety of others activities. Coming out in Lambda is safe and confidential. This group promotes education, outreach, and support through its many social and community service events including but not limited to the Annual Drag Idol for Relay for Life, Miracle League softball with Autistic and physically impaired individuals, ovarian cancer nacho sale, and their newest addition, “Straight Pride Week” in September. Lambda reaches out to many issues, to set the example that people are more complex than the labels they receive.
Southern PlanesWalkers-(zbrowni1@my.westga.edu) We focus on advancing critical thinking skills of students through the highly acclaimed card game, Magic: The Gathering. We accept students of any to no skill level as long as there is an interest in learning as well as a desire to make friends.

Our mission is to provide a number of diverse cultural, recreational, social, educational, and entertainment programs, and is implemented through seven program committees. Together, the chair people and their committee members are responsible for planning and producing a variety of events. SAC is funded by the student of West Georgia through a portion of their activity fee that is allocated to us.

The West Georgia chapter was charted April 30th 2005. We promote a sturdy educational foundation and believe that great advantages are derived from a brotherhood of college and university men.

The Panhellenic Council is made up of 8 officers and one delegate from each sorority on campus. The officers and delegates work together to provide a support system for all chapter on campus and help them work together to better serve the campus and the community. Panhellenic organizes programs that enhance Greek Life through scholarship, community service, and leadership development. Panhellenic Council gives women the opportunity to be involved, not just in their individual chapter but also in the entire community.
