In 1852 at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia, three young women formed a sorority based on three ideals: love, honor, and truth. They were unaware that their bond would grow into one of the nation's oldest and largest sororities. Yet here at West Georgia, Phi Mu means even more to our chapter.
Socials, intramural games, and late nights hanging out on the hall- these are just a few of the things we enjoy. More importantly, it means growing close to a group of women who support each other. The ladies of Phi Mu participate in various activities each semester supporting our philanthropy, Children's Miracle Network, as well as events held on campus. Phi Mus are active in organizations across campus, such as SGA, The Marathon, Student Ambassadors, Student Orientation Leaders, Greek Bible Study, and Student Activities Council. The chapter has been noted for its excellence on the intramural field when named Female Team of the Year 2003. Phi Mu also received the title of 2003 Video Night Champions.
To put it simply, Phi Mu is more that Greek letters or a pink jersey. It is the promise of a bond with your best friends, which lasts well beyond your days at West Georgia.
