As the Chief Operating Officer at BB&T Capital Markets, Mr. Jung focuses on integrating BB&T Capital Markets platform with BB&T’s banking operations. Mr. Jung has 24 years of experience in the capital markets business, the first 13 as an investment banker, fixed-income trader, and head of sales and trading at Craigie Incorporated (a merger partner of BB&T), and the last eleven as a member of the BB&T Capital Markets management group. Mr. Jung graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering. He returned to The Darden School at the University of Virginia, where he earned his Masters in Business Administration
Dr. William J. Smith, Ph.D., University of West Georgia is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of West Georgia. Formerly, Dr. Smith was a research associate at the Fiscal Research Center at Georgia State University . He specialized in the study of growth patterns of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and in the empirical analysis of state tax policies. Joey will provide an update on the outlook for the state and West Georgia Economics. Joey is a graduate of Haralson County High School.
