Q3. I've registered for an eCore class. When can I login? Is there anything I should be doing ahead of time to prepare for the class?  How do I login? OR I did not receive my eCore username and password.

You will be receiving a Getting Started email to your Campus Email address. Be watchful for this email, which students will begin receiving about 2 weeks prior to first day of classes.  Your login userid and password instructions will be provided here.

You can log into the platform where your eCore classes are located prior to the FIRST DAY of classes, and the Getting Started email will provide you login details.

You can access your eCore class the FIRST DAY of classes. Ahead of time, please make arrangements to have your textbooks and course materials available PRIOR to the start of classes.

You will also have access to a sample eCore class, and we strongly recommend that you participate in this sample class activity prior to the first day of classes. You may contact the eCore Help Line for assistance as well:

Q4. How do I purchase eCore textbooks?

We highly recommend that students purchase their eCore textbooks and course materials BEFORE the FIRST DAY of classes.

You can find the required textbooks and course material information for each of the eCore courses here: ecore.usg.edu/courses/textbooks.php

Please be aware that your course materials are set forth by eCore and not by the instructor, so this information will allow you to have your materials available BEFORE the FIRST DAY of classes.

You will always be able to order your eCore textbooks from the MBS Direct Bookstore: bookstore.mbsdirect.net/ecore.htm

You can also use the textbook information to find the materials from another bookseller.

The eCore textbooks may not be available at the on-campus UWG Bookstore.  However, if you are receiving financial aid, you can check with the UWG Bookstore about ordering the textbooks and materials.

The University of West Georgia Bookstore doesn't carry eCore textbooks.  eCore textbooks are available at the eCore Online Bookstore, MBS Direct (bookstore.mbsdirect.net/ecore.htm).  The eCore Online Bookstore accepts all major credit cards, debit cards and prepaid credit cards for your convenience.

If Financial Aid (www.westga.edu/finaid/) is your only means of payment, the UWG Bookstore (www.bookstore.westga.edu/) may be able to special order your eCore books and allow you to use your bookstore credit.  Contact the UWG Bookstore (Phone Number: (678) 839-6523, Email Address: bookstore@westga.edu) for more information.

Q6.  How do I drop or withdraw from an eCore course?

Students can drop a course within the Drop window.  If a student is wanting to leave a course after the last Drop day, this would become a withdrawal.  We always encourage students to work with their eCore advisor and find resources to assist them to remain in the class.  If you are having difficulty in your eCore class, please contact your eCore Advisor.  We do understand that sometimes a student may need to withdraw from a course for a personal issue.  The eCore course withdrawal policy and instructions can be found here: ecore.usg.edu/students/withdraw/uwg_policy.php
