At UWG the Ed.D. in Professional Counseling and Supervision is designed for advanced counseling practitioners who are employed in schools, agencies, universities, and other systems of care. Doctoral students across counseling specialties are engaged in making a positive difference in the lives of individuals, families, organizations, and communities through counseling interventions and programs. Advanced counseling practitioners who
- Work in school, community or other service settings;
- Hold a license or certificate to practice counseling
- Earned a 48 semester hour master's in counseling from a CACREP accredited (or equivalent) program; in
- Earned an Ed.S. degree in counseling
