Passing the Torch
The Multicultural Achievement Program (MAP) has provided academic assistance to UWG minority students for two decades. MAP strives to increase its success by teaming up with the UWG African American Alumni (AAA) Association to create "Passing the Torch," a program designed to help UWG minority students succeed by providing inspiration and guidance through UWG's minority alumni.
AAA plays a vital role in the lives of UWG minority students. The influence of AAA motivates students to succeed while increasing student retention. Furthermore, with AAA's assistance, MAP can reach its program goal to help educate graduates who are intellectually and ethically informed individuals with well-defined skills and knowledge who are capable leaders, creative thinkers, and contributing citizens.
Passing the Torch will offer AAA members a host of opportunities to assist UWG minority students.
