Denise Parham
Denise Parham is a Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Health Services and has been affiliated with the university since 1994. Married with three sons and two daughters, Mrs. Parham is the proud grandparent of seven grandchildren. She says in her spare time, she loves to walk for health and fitness, read, attend plays, watch movies, travel and spend time with her family. Her favorite places to travel are throughout Florida, Helen Georgia, Bahamas, Mexico, anywhere there is either mountains or a beach.
Some of her greatest accomplishments are that she have taught and learned a lot throughout her tenure at UWG. “I’ve done further studies and procedures that were not available prior to my arrival and have perfected them.” Her favorite quote is “when you know better, you should do better.”
For Parham, her time spent at UWG has been an opportunity of a lifetime. She enjoys working with young people and feels that UWG is a blessed place to be involved. Mrs. Parham considers herself to be a very spiritual and loving individual. She holds several positions at her church and within the community. She is the co-founder of a youth ministry, Youth Leaders of Today, the Parade Chair of the Carroll County branch of NAACP and is active with the Prison Outreach Ministry in Haralson County.
Her motto in life comes from a verse in the Holy Bible, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13.
