Faculty! It’s IMPORTANT for you to know the EXCEL Center offers services to faculty as well as students.
From helping students in your class with our early intervention program, to coming to your class with study skills presentations, to assistance with academic advising, the EXCEL Center strives to serve UWG faculty as well as students.
Check out the following services:
DegreeWorks
DegreeWorks is a web-based tool for schedule planning and degree audit. It tracks degree progress, prepares for registration, and plans for graduation. It also maintains record of advisement notes & schedules and aids academic advising, but not intended to replace face-to-face advising sessions.Early Alert Program

We’ll contact the students and set up appointments with academic advisors, and/or tutors.Class Presentations
Invite the EXCEL Center Staff in to use that time to help your students with all kinds of academic college success tips.
Academic Advising
The EXCEL Center is the academic advising home of all UWG students who have not decided on a major. In addition EXCEL assists the College of Arts and Sciences with advisement of many pre and early majors. We publish the Core Curriculum guide and work closely with UWG’s Professional Association of Academic Advisors (PAAA).
