About PFT
The Peer Financial Team (PFT), formerly, Peer Financial Counseling, was developed by Financial Aid student assistants as a program to help equip peers with a basic understanding of personal financial management. UWG's concept of PFT derived from the Department of Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia, Peer Financial Counseling Program. Peer Team Members are trained by the staff of Financial Aid, using practical financial situations.
PFT conduct presentations for University of West Georgia academic courses, clubs & organizations, Preview Day, New Student Orientations, and many more. Workshops are held every month to provide assistance in various financial areas. One-on-One help is available throughout the year. This Website should serve as a resource to locate financial information and get questions answered.
Faculty, Staff, and Student Organizations may request PFT to present financial material. What ever your event may be, we have an informative and interactive presentation just for your needs!
