Loans
Student loans
- Undergraduate, Provisional Graduate, and Certification Students must enroll in at least 6 hours to receive loans. Graduate students need at least 5 hours.
- You must accept your student loans on your Banweb account.
- Log in to myUWG
- Click the Banweb tab
- Click Student Services and Financial Aid
- Click Financial Aid
- Click My Award Information
- Click Award by Aid Year
- Choose the aid year
- Click Accept Award Offer
- If you’ve never received a student loan, you will need to complete an Entrance Counseling Session and sign a Master Promissory Note before your loans can apply to your account.
- Once you are awarded and have accepted your loans, you should receive an email with further instructions.

- The FAFSA is now required for all private loans.
- We want to make sure that you are not eligible for any federal grants before you take out a private loan.
- Some private lenders require that you enroll in at least 6 hours.
Parent PLUS loans
- The application process for Parent PLUS loans has changed.
- Your parent can apply by going to www.studentloans.gov, signing in with his/her information, and clicking Request a PLUS loan.
