Financial Aid
-
The Department of Financial Aid at the University of West Georgia is the primary institutional unit that assists students in financing their educational expenses though a variety of federal, state and institutional loans, grants, scholarships and work programs. In administering these programs, this office works directly with applicants for student aid, with their parents or sponsors, and with secondary school personnel in providing information and assistance to current and prospective recipients of aid.

Confidentiality Statement
The University of West Georgia complies with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, also known as FERPA, which prohibits the release of educational records without student permission. FERPA states that the university, its agents, faculty, state, and administrations are not allowed to share educational information about any student with anyone (including parents and spouses) without the written authorization and consent of the student. The HOPE amounts listed here are the most that HOPE will pay. If you enroll
in an online course, which usually has increased tuition amounts, HOPE will
not increase to cover the cost. If you are still under one of the Guaranteed
Tuition Plans, it is possible that HOPE will cover all of your tuition, but the
HOPE award will not exceed your tuition charges.
