UWG Award Policies
The University of West Georgia's financial aid program is designed to provide equal access to post-secondary education. Since you are the primary beneficiary of a college education, you are asked to contribute toward the cost of it through earnings, savings, assets, and any other available resources. After your financial need has been determined, we will attempt to provide awards to fill the gap between your expected family contribution (as determined by the FAFSA) and the cost of attending UWG. The composition of your package depends upon financial need, availability of funds, and whether you are a dependent or independent student. In addition, your academic record and the date you complete your financial aid file may affect the amount of aid you are offered.
Important: Financial aid awards are determined annually and YOU MUST REAPPLY for each academic year (Fall semester through Summer semester) that you wish to receive aid.
