28th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference in the Humanities: Professions
The University of West Georgia's 28th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference in the Humanities will be held October 31-November 2, 2013 on the University of West Georgia campus in Carrollton, Georgia. The topic for this year's conference is Professions, and the deadline for submission of abstracts is July 1, 2013.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: AnaLouise Keating (Ph.D. University of Illinois, Chicago) is Professor of Women's Studies at Texas Woman's University. She has written or edited eight books on U.S. women writers of color, critical race feminisms, queer theory, womanist spiritual activism, and Gloria Anzaldúa. Her book Teaching Transformation: Transcultural Classroom Dialogues (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007) explores teaching's relationship to social justice and change.
