The University of West Georgia's 26th Annual Interdisciplinary Conference in the Humanities will be held November 10-12, 2011 on the University of West Georgia campus in Carrollton, Georgia. The topic for this year's conference is Transformation / Adaptation

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:  Dr. Jerry Phillips (Ph.D. University of Essex) is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Connecticut.  He has published extensively on American Cultural Studies, Race in Literature and Culture, and Post-Colonial Studies.  He is the main author of Romanticism and Transcendentalism, 1800-1860, as well as the editor of the Backgrounds to American Literature series.
